TNC At The Rent #6

Rentschler Field hosts the thrilling TNC Series, a series of Tuesday Night Crits that have been a staple at this beloved venue for years. The finale edition is set for an exciting night themed Retro Kit night! Participants are encouraged to don their most vintage cycling gear and showcase their style.
The 2026 TNC Series features five races across the month of June, with Junior Race Nights on July 7th and 28th. Here’s your schedule:
- 6/2 - TNC #1
- 6/9 - TNC #2
- 6/30 - TNC #3 (Final race)
- 7/7 - TNC #4 Junior Race Night!
- 7/28 - TNC #5 Junior Race Night!
Each Tuesday night brings a mix of fun and competition, perfect for both seasoned racers and newcomers. A and B level races cater to everyone—from novice cyclists looking to test their skills on a Tuesday night to experienced Cat-1 Racers aiming for top honors.
Official results will be recorded at each race, with the top three finishers in each category receiving an age-appropriate beverage and a medal after crossing the line. Enjoy the festive atmosphere as you compete or cheer on your friends!
Junior riders aged nine years and above are welcome to participate in weekly practice sessions starting at 5:15 PM. These sessions offer a no-pressure environment hosted by CCAP staff and regional team coaches, with training activities also available for free if you're part of an CCAP-registered team.
The TNC Series is not just about racing; it’s a celebration of cycling in the Connecticut community. The event honors Coach Matt Waskiewicz, whose legacy continues to inspire young riders through "The Waz" Junior Road Race Series.
Be sure to follow BikeReg and the CCAP Event calendars for updates. Volunteers are needed and can race at no cost or gain experience by supporting their favorite racers. Refunds will be provided after fulfilling your volunteer role.
All USAC rules apply, including mandatory helmets and a prohibition on tri-bikes and forward-facing bar ends. Sleeveless jerseys are also not allowed. Annual licenses are required; one-day licenses can be purchased for $15 via BikeReg.
