Tower to Castle

The Tower to Castle Ultra returns for its fourth consecutive year, offering runners an unforgettable journey from the iconic Blackpool Tower to Lancaster Castle. This unique race takes participants on a scenic coastal route with a twist – a ferry ride across Morecambe Bay from Fleetwood to Knott End.
Runners will begin their adventure at 8:30 AM from the world-renowned Comedy Carpet, located in the shadow of the towering Blackpool Tower. The event is designed for both novice ultra-runners and seasoned athletes looking for a challenge over this distance. With varying start times based on each runner's pace through the first nine miles, participants will cross the estuary smoothly via the Fleetwood Ferry Company.
The course features four well-marked checkpoints to guide runners along their way. Participants have up to eight hours to complete the 30.9-mile route and reach the historic Lancaster Castle finish line. This event is a test of endurance and determination, set against the backdrop of breathtaking coastal scenery and charming towns.
All participants who cross the finish line will receive a commemorative medal and an exclusive event hoodie. Additionally, runners have the option to purchase XCover insurance for peace of mind in case unforeseen circumstances prevent them from attending on race day.
