Trail Blaze 2026

The annual Bedrock Milestone Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2026, at Wungong Regional Park near Bedfordale, Western Australia. This race provides runners with an invigorating journey through diverse and picturesque landscapes, suitable for both seasoned athletes and newcomers.
Race morning in early autumn will present a mild climate, with temperatures hovering around 14°C, creating ideal running conditions. Participants can gather at the park entrance on Old Wungong Road, just downstream from the bridge over the Wungong River. The weather is anticipated to be overcast but dry, ensuring clear visibility and comfortable running throughout.
This event has steadily grown since its launch in 2014, now attracting more than 500 runners across three distances: an Easy 5km, a Moderately Hard 10km, and the Challenging 15km. The course weaves through steep valleys and varied terrains, offering memorable experiences to both experienced athletes and those just starting their running journeys.
The park’s firm yet slightly soft surface presents unique challenges that test runners' endurance and agility. Multiple hydration stations are strategically placed every two kilometers to ensure participants remain well-hydrated during the race. The community comes together in a lively atmosphere, supporting local charities and initiatives as they cheer on each runner.
Registration is open through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/130328/trail-blaze-2026 with fees of $35 for the Easy 5km, $45 for the Moderately Hard 10km, and $55 for the Challenging 15km. Runners should bring their RaceRoster login credentials to collect bibs at the park entrance one hour before each start time: 8:00am for the 15km route, 8:10am for the 10km, and 8:20am for the 5km. Trail shoes are strongly recommended due to the challenging terrain.
Bib pickup is available from 7:30am onwards at the park entrance, with a smooth check-in process requiring runners to bring their ID or race registration confirmation.
