TRAIL LASSOURAILLE

Trail Lassouraille, set for September 19, 2026, marks its fourth edition with two challenging courses: the 10K and the more demanding 18K. Both routes feature an elevation gain of approximately 200 meters, weaving through diverse terrains that cater to both runners and hikers.
The event kicks off at PK21 Route Degrade Saramaca for participants in both categories. Hikers start their journey from a point just over one kilometer past the Monkey Mountain around 9:00 AM, with runners beginning their more intense route near Gite Kalukuli at 9:00 AM sharp.
The 18K course is designed to test endurance and agility as it winds through lush trails marked by vivid yellow paint and strategically placed green or yellow points on trees. Key landmarks include the ancient Lassouraille trail, guiding runners towards a picturesque finish line along the Coui creek. The crossing at this point requires swimming across using an anchored rope for support and obligatory life jackets provided by Jungle Adventures.
Participants can enjoy post-race refreshments with 36 liters of fresh grenadine and oranges available upon arrival. A hearty paella meal is offered to those who opt-in, along with a round-trip river journey back to the start point at an additional cost.
Safety measures are paramount; each runner receives a wrist band for identification purposes before setting off on their adventure. Medical support will be present near the finish line and throughout the course to ensure all participants’ well-being.
Trail Lassouraille promises not just a race, but an immersive experience in nature with breathtaking views, challenging terrain, and a supportive community atmosphere that celebrates every achievement along the way.
Participants are advised to bring 1.5 liters of water, trail shoes, and essential survival gear as mandated by Jungle Adventures for their safety.
