Starting September 13 at the east gate / Waterfall Square of Western Hills National Forest Park, Beijing, this event offers Crossing Xishan 40K (solo and pairs), Peak Chase 20K (solo and pairs), Mountain Ramble 10K, and Fragrant Hills Taster 6K. Registration is first-come, first-served.
The 40K (38.73km actual, 2,032m gain / 2,029m descent, ITRA 2 points) starts 7:30 with an 11-hour cutoff; the 20K (19.03km, 1,047m gain / 1,048m descent, ITRA 1 point) starts 7:30 with a 5-hour cutoff; the 10K (10.15km, 467m gain / 468m descent) starts 8:00 with a 3-hour cutoff; the 6K (5.83km, 270m gain / 265m descent) starts 8:00 with a 2-hour cutoff.
September wind crosses the Western Hills' eaves as the season's first smoke trees turn a soft gold -- a range with a thousand years of history opening to runners from every direction, some chasing the summit at speed, others taking a slower autumn stroll through the trees.
