Trailblazer's autumn mountain race runs August 30 at Genting Ski Park in Chongli, Zhangjiakou, Hebei, with a 3,500-runner capacity across three categories: 20K "Clouds Part, Moon Appears," 35K "Flowing Clouds," and 50K "Rising Winds." Registration opens July 14 at 10:00, with early-bird pricing through July 24.
The 20K (18.71km actual, 1,108m+ climbing, 1,200 cap, ITRA ~1 point) runs 7:00 AM to a 7-hour cutoff; the 35K (33.77km, 1,765m+ climbing, 1,500 cap, ITRA ~2 points) runs 6:30 AM to an 11-hour cutoff; the 50K (48.99km, 2,426m+ climbing, 800 cap, ITRA ~2 points) runs 6:00 AM to a 13.5-hour cutoff.
A newly rebuilt course this autumn crosses birch forest, scree slopes, and shifting ridgelines, with golden birch leaves against meadows turning from deep green to deep red under a clear blue sky -- three distances, three different ways to take it on.
