The Trailspire Ultra is back with an ambitious lineup of enhancements designed to push the boundaries of what you thought was possible on foot. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Callander Park in Falkirk, this 7-hour endurance challenge offers a unique blend of scenic trails, woodland paths, and rolling hills that will test your limits while keeping spirits high.
The route, meticulously crafted by Stuart Paterson—the winner of the Scottish Ultra Trail in 2025—offers runners an opportunity to explore varied terrain over four miles (6.63 kilometers) with a total elevation gain of 277 feet (84 meters). The looped course features undulating trails through dense woodlands and open fields, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience for participants.
Participants can choose their own adventure by aiming for half marathon distances or even further into ultra-marathon territory. With the flexibility to switch to a shorter, flatter 1km route in the final hour if needed, runners have control over how far they push themselves without compromising on safety and enjoyment.
