On September 12, 2026, runners and families are invited to explore the scenic prairie trails of Peck Farm Park for an unforgettable morning adventure. The NorthLighting Run offers participants approximately 2.5 miles of flat terrain through lush greenery, providing a welcoming environment for both seasoned runners and beginners alike. Registration opens at 7:00 AM, with pre-registration recommended to ensure a smooth start to the event. At 8:00 AM sharp, children aged 3-12 kick off the festivities with the Short Circuit, a one-mile fun run designed specifically for young athletes. Just half an hour later, the main NorthLighting Run begins at 8:30 AM. Following the race, Bad Guys Bagels will be on hand to serve up hot breakfast treats and refreshments, allowing participants to refuel after their morning outing. For those aged 21 years or older, a complimentary beer is available for registered runners as part of the event's post-race celebration. Adding an extra layer of excitement for younger racers, kids ages 3-8 are invited to participate in the Road Race Rally at 9:00 AM. This unique Power Wheels race gives young participants the chance to experience racing on wheels before hitting the pavement with their running shoes.
