Set against the stunning backdrop of Lessinia's high pastures, the Tzimbar Race offers an extraordinary trail running experience that is both memorable and unpredictable. This race features breathtaking descents on single-track paths, spectacular climbs ranging from gentle ascents to grueling steep sections, as well as stretches through dense forests and expansive alpine meadows at higher elevations (some parts are equipped with fixed ropes for added challenge).
Competitors can choose between four distinct routes: the Tzimbar Race 56, which covers a challenging distance of 56 kilometers; the Tzimbar Race 36, offering a more manageable yet still formidable 36-kilometer course; and the shorter but no less exciting options with the Tzimbar Race 15 at 15 kilometers. For those looking for something different, there is also the original Tzimbar Race, which spans just 7 kilometers but includes four distinct peak challenges that test strength and agility.
The race weaves through a diverse landscape of rugged terrain, providing runners with an immersive journey across varied ecosystems from dense woodland to open meadows. Each step offers new vistas and challenges, making this event not only about reaching the finish line but also about embracing every moment along the way.
Participants will encounter stunning descents that wind down single-track paths through lush forests, followed by steep climbs up rocky trails with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. The inclusion of fixed ropes in certain sections adds an element of adventure and technical skill to the race.
