Experience the serene beauty of the Adirondack Rail Trail through an immersive, guided cycling tour. Spanning three nights and two days, this adventure takes you on a journey along 34 miles of scenic trails that weave through breathtaking landscapes and charming communities.
Your stay begins at Hohmeyer's Lake Clear Lodge, nestled on pristine shores since 1886. This family-owned establishment offers a tranquil retreat with old-world charm and fine dining to complement your cycling experience.
Over the course of two days, you'll cycle under professional guidance through the Adirondack landscape, enjoying daily lunches, snacks, and other delightful stops along the way. The guided tours ensure that every moment is filled with awe-inspiring scenery and memorable experiences.
Dates: August 18-21
Location: Lake Clear
Participants will cover a total of 34 miles over the two days:
Day 1: 16 miles from Lake Placid to Lake Clear Lodge
Day 2: 18 miles from Lake Clear Lodge to Tupper Lake
The tour is capped at just eight riders, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience. The cost per person starts at $1,125.
Included in your registration:
- Two days of fully guided cycling on the Adirondack Rail Trail
- Three nights' accommodation at the stunning Lake Clear Lodge
- Seven meals across three breakfasts, four lunches, and two dinners
- A Great Camp Dinner featuring speakeasy appetizers, lake view dining, and handcrafted desserts
- A take-out pub dinner or beachside meal option
- Brew Pub Lunches in Saranac Lake along the route
- Breakfast baskets for each morning
- An arrival happy hour with beverages and charcuterie
Vehicle support is provided by BikeADK Shuttle, ensuring you're always on track. Well-stocked rest stops offer refreshments throughout your journey.
Day 1: August 18
3:30 PM - Check-in opens; settle in at Lake Clear Lodge.
5:00 PM - Enjoy a lakefront happy hour with beverages and charcuterie while meeting your guides.
Dinner is on your own, utilizing take-out pub dinners or nearby restaurants.
Day 2: August 19
9:00 AM - Departure via BikeADK Shuttle from Lake Clear Lodge to start the ride in Lake Placid. Anticipate an afternoon return and a group dinner featuring speakeasy appetizers, lake view dining, and handcrafted desserts.
Breakfast is on your own at the lodge; lunch will be enjoyed at RiverTrail Beerworks in Saranac Lake along the route.
Day 3: August 20
9:00 AM - Departure from Lake Clear Lodge for a scenic ride to Tupper Lake (18 miles). Anticipate an afternoon return via BikeADK Shuttle after enjoying lunch at Raquette River Brewing. Breakfast is on your own; dinner that evening is also on your own.
Day 4: August 21
11:00 AM - Enjoy the final hours of your stay, with a checkout time set for noon.
