USANSOLOKO BIKOTEKAKO III. DUATLOIA - EUSKADIKO TXAPELKETA

The U113 Usansolo Triatloi Taldea is excited to present the third edition of the USANSOLOKO BIKOTEKAKO, an exhilarating duathlon designed for teams of two. This thrilling event takes place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026 in Usansolo, Bizkaia and promises a unique challenge that blends running and cycling into one dynamic race.
Participants will navigate through the scenic landscapes around Usansolo as they tackle a sprint distance course consisting of 5 kilometers run, followed by 20 kilometers on two wheels, concluding with another 2.5 kilometer run to cross the finish line. The duathlon is open exclusively to teams and includes categories for women's pairs, mixed pairs, and men’s pairs.
The race day begins early in the morning at 9:30 AM when transition area access opens up, giving competitors time to set up their gear before the first wave of athletes takes off just after noon. The event is meticulously organized with strict rules prohibiting drafting between teams from different categories and forbidding any kind of bike attachments.
Competitors will experience a mix of terrain as they run along picturesque trails leading into an intense cycling segment that requires strength, stamina, and strategic teamwork. After conquering the hilly Askarri bridge on their bikes, participants must make it to El Vivero before 12:30 PM or risk being cut off from continuing.
As a reward for their efforts, top finishing teams in each category will receive prestigious trophies alongside generous product bundles including items from Petit-Goxo and Usansoloko Txakoli Galanta. Additionally, the first three clubs to cross the finish line in any of the categories are eligible for special Basque awards.
Beyond competition prizes, all participants can look forward to a post-race celebration complete with pintxos (small tapas) upon presenting their race numbers and enjoying refreshments at the event's well-stocked aid stations. The venue also offers ample parking facilities along with lockers, showers, and doping control services for athletes.
