Experience the thrill of cycling like never before with an exceptional BRM (Brevet des Randonneurs Mondiaux) that serves as a pre-qualifier for Paris-Brest-Paris 2027. This unique challenge spans an impressive distance of 600 kilometers, boasting over 11,000 meters of elevation gain—equivalent to climbing 11 vertical kilometers. The route is designed to captivate the senses with its stunning landscapes and numerous small roads that make for a truly enjoyable ride rather than just a grueling test. You'll tackle the iconic Vercors twice: first via the southern ascent, then through the hair-raising Route de la Combe Lava. After descending into the Drôme valley, you’ll climb back up to its source before heading towards the Col de Carabès. The adventure continues with a challenging descent into the lesser-known but formidable Montagne de Lure, which reaches an impressive 1800 meters in altitude. The journey wouldn't be complete without conquering France’s most famous peak: the mighty Mont Ventoux, ascended via its longest and more manageable route. Cyclists fortunate enough to experience this event multiple times will have the chance to climb Vercors, Lure, and Ventoux three times each. For those aiming for a BRM certification, you'll need to complete the course within 40 hours. However, riders who prefer a leisurely pace can take up to 60 hours to finish while still enjoying every moment of the ride. Departures will occur in groups of twenty on September 12th at 4:00 AM. Upon completion, participants are treated to a warm meal and have access to free camping facilities both before departure and after arrival. The campsite offers amenities including showers, toilets, and dining areas for added convenience. Registration fees are €10 for licensed FFvélo members and €15 for others. This event promises an unforgettable blend of scenic beauty, challenging terrain, and camaraderie among fellow cyclists. Don't miss your chance to push yourself in one of the most spectacular cycling events on the calendar!
