Vårruset - Östersund

Vårruset Östersund 2026 will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM, with the event area located north of the bathhouse park (near the old Yran camping area), directly below Jamtli, across the railway, and left of the footpath along Storsjön. The course runs along the shore of Storsjön, with start and finish at Storsjön. Distances offered are 2.5 km and a measured 5 km.

All participants must follow Vårruset's general terms and conditions. The registration is binding and the fee cannot be refunded in case of cancellation. Registration is digital and can be completed up to and including race day, no later than 1 hour before the first start.

• Included in individual registration: medal, finish bag, Vårruset music quiz + prizes, timing on 5 km (optional), and bib number.
• Included in team registration (5 persons): picnic after finish, medal, finish bag, Vårruset music quiz + prizes, timing on 5 km (optional), and bib number.
• Bib number distribution: Intersport Östersund on May 23 (11:00–17:00) and May 30 (11:00–17:00).
• Choosing no timing means the result will not be published in the official results list; the registration fee is the same regardless of timing choice.
• The event is described as a lovely spring evening with amazing atmosphere, joy of movement, and good community — participants can run, jog, or walk alone or with friends or colleagues.

Teams consist of 5 persons. Team leaders can download posters to recruit members, collect team member details, and then complete the team registration on the website. Teams receive a picnic after the finish.

• The event is organized by Marathongruppen together with athletics clubs from across Sweden. Any surplus goes 100% back to sports.
