Velebit 100 Miles

Starigrad Paklenica – Senj. The Velebit mountain range. The 24th edition of the Naturel Velebit Trail — Memorijal Gorana Perića — takes place on June 20‑22, 2026. Choose Velebit 100 Miles (160 km, 7,500 m D+, 56‑hour cutoff), Velebit 50 Miles (77 km, 2,300 m D+, 26‑hour cutoff), Challenger (24 km, 1,200 m D+), Active (14 km, 900 m D+), or Light (7 km, 300 m D+). Start for 100 Miles and Challenger/Active: Saturday, June 20, 8:00 AM from Starigrad Paklenica waterfront ("Bikarija"). 50 Miles starts Sunday, June 21, 9:00 AM from Baške Oštarije hostel. Light starts Saturday, 9:00 AM at NP Paklenica entrance (transport provided). All finish in Senj (50 & 100 Miles) or back in Starigrad (shorter distances). GPX logs, mandatory gear, and checkpoints with water and Coke included.

Location — Starigrad Paklenica & NP Paklenica:

• Starigrad Paklenica is a coastal town in Zadar County, at the entrance to Paklenica National Park
• Paklenica is famous for its dramatic canyons (Velika and Mala Paklenica), vertical cliffs, and hiking trails
• The Velebit mountain range runs parallel to the Adriatic coast — a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve
• 100‑mile route: Starigrad Paklenica → Senj, traversing the entire Velebit range
• 50‑mile route: Baške Oštarije → Senj (start is a hostel in the mountains)

Course & Terrain:

• Velebit 100 Miles: 160 km, 7,500 m elevation gain and loss — extremely rugged, technical terrain
• Velebit 50 Miles: 77 km, 2,300 m D+ — challenging but less extreme
• Challenger (24 km) — a full day in the mountains, suitable for experienced hikers/runners
• Active (14 km) — shorter, still significant climb
• Light (7 km) — family‑friendly, follows the Velika Paklenica canyon to Lugarnica mountain hut
• Checkpoints: water, Coke, basic snacks (self‑service at some water points)
• Drop bag point for 50 Miles: Alan (33 km)

Mandatory Gear (all categories):

• Mobile phone (fully charged, with the number provided during registration)
• Whistle
• Emergency foil blanket (astro folija)
• Sun hat
• Basic first aid kit (gauze, bandages, plasters, antiseptic)
• Bottle or cup for water/Coke at aid stations (no cups provided)
• GPS device or watch with GPX track (required for 42 km category — note: 42 km not listed for 2026? may be outdated — check with organisers)
• Headlamp with spare batteries (required for 42 km — again, verify for 100 Miles/50 Miles)

• 50 Miles: €60
• Challenger/Active/Light: €30
• Children (under 18) and seniors (65+): €20 (Light category only for children under 14, must be accompanied by a registered adult)
• Online registration closes June 12, 10:00 AM — after that, late registration available on site (no shirt, no finisher medal, €25/€20)

• No refunds after June 12, 10:00 AM. You may transfer your entry to another person or pick up your race pack on site.
