Vertikal Ploská 2026

The Vertical Race Liptovské Revúce is set to take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM from the former Konštrukta recreational facility. This challenging event offers runners an exhilarating journey through picturesque Slovak landscapes.
Participants will embark on a vertical ascent covering approximately 5.2 kilometers and ascending to a height of 825 meters, culminating in the summit of Ploská. The route is clearly marked with ribbons or spray paint to guide competitors as they navigate the terrain. Along the way, runners can expect well-placed refreshment stations at Mogury and atop Ploská.
Registration for this event opens online until August 26, 2026, at midnight. On-site registration is available thereafter but only up to race day. Each participant will receive a welcome package that includes post-race lunch in the presentation hall, refreshments along the route, and commemorative gifts from sponsors.
The organizers have partnered with local entities such as Chata Horec and the Mountain Rescue Service of Liptovské Revúce to ensure safety and support throughout the event. Additional amenities include showers for both men and women, a changing area, and restroom facilities near Chatá Horec at the race start.
Race results will be displayed in real-time as participants cross the finish line. The official announcement of winners is scheduled for 12:30 PM on the same day, contingent upon data processing times. Prizes are awarded to the top three runners in various categories from A through I.
Competitors should note that while every effort is made to adhere to planned routes and schedules, organizers reserve the right to make changes as necessary. Participants must assume full responsibility for their own safety during the event. Any runner found cutting corners or deviating from the designated course will be disqualified without exception.
