Viaduct 5k fun run

The Viaduct Run is an engaging community fun run that offers runners of all ages the chance to support Sofrydd Primary School. This annual event features a 5k race, designed primarily for participants aged 11 and older on the day of the race. A separate free kids' and disabled race ensures inclusivity.
The registration fee stands at £7.50 plus a small booking charge, with all finishers receiving a commemorative medal to mark their achievement. The event is licensed by UKA (UK Athletics) for added assurance and recognition.
Race HQ will be set up at Hafodyrynys Rugby Club, conveniently located just a minute's walk from the start line. Participants are advised that entries close on June 28th with only 200 spots available, so early registration is recommended to secure your place. Once registered, participants can collect their race numbers and receive vital information via email before race day.
The awards ceremony will take place at Swffryd Community Centre after the run, where prizes are awarded for first-place male and female runners as well as junior boys and girls (16 years old or under). This event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also fosters a strong sense of community spirit among participants. Transfer your entry to another runner via Entry Central before June 28th if you're unable to participate, ensuring others can join in the fun.
