About the Event

Join Healthy West Chicago for an invigorating start to autumn with the Fit4Fall 5K Run/Walk and Youth Race on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The festivities kick off at Reed-Keppler Park located near Zone 250 (250 W National Street, West Chicago), where runners will embark on a scenic journey along the Illinois Prairie Path.
The event offers two race options: an energizing 5K run/walk that begins promptly at 8:00 AM and a fun-filled one-mile youth race starting at 9:00 AM. Both races feature certified courses, ensuring accuracy in timing while providing runners with picturesque views of the changing foliage on this historic trail.
Participants who complete the 5K will be rewarded with a custom Fit4Fall 5K shirt upon crossing the finish line. Additionally, among the first 75 registrants to pick up their race packet, there's an exciting opportunity to receive exclusive swag bags as well. For larger groups of four or more family members running together in the 5K event, $5 off each registration can be claimed at checkout.
The day culminates with a lively post-race celebration that promises entertainment and camaraderie for all attendees, making it an unforgettable experience to welcome fall in West Chicago.
