Experience the thrill of the track at the annual West Coast MX State Series 2026, set to ignite excitement across Western Australia from June through September. The series promises an unparalleled motocross experience with five rounds spread over diverse locations. Rd 1 on Sunday, June 28th, kicks off in Jurien Bay, where riders will navigate challenging terrain alongside the scenic coastline. Round 2 on July 12th takes place at Geraldton Junior & Senior Motocross Club, offering a unique blend of natural landscapes and technical tracks. The third round, August 2nd, brings racers to BSA & Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club in Gidgegannup for an intense competition amidst the rolling hills. Rd 4 on August 23rd shifts to Southern Capes Motorcycle Club near Kaloorup, providing a gritty test of skill and endurance. The series concludes with Rd 5 on September 6th at Coastal Park Motorcycle Club in Henderson, where riders will face the ultimate challenge under the Western Australian sun. Each round offers camping facilities for those who wish to stay overnight, though limited amenities are available. First aid is always present; all participants must have current ambulance cover and personal health insurance, including income protection. Riding comes with inherent risks, so proceed at your own peril. Competitors can choose from a variety of classes tailored to different skill levels: - 150cc Division for young racers aged 5-9 - 265cc class catering to riders between ages 7 and 12 - Junior Lites featuring 100cc - 250cc bikes for teens up to age 16 Senior classes include MX1 A & B, MX2 A & B, Clubman, Veterans (35+), Masters (45+) and a dedicated Ladies class. Electric bikes are allowed but must adhere to strict power limitations. Dual-classing is available at an additional cost of $85 per round or $450 for the series, including transponder hire fees if applicable. The event runs from 6:30 AM on race day, with mandatory safety inspections and a riders' briefing by 7:15 AM. Practice sessions precede racing, which commences shortly thereafter based on entries received. Points are awarded in descending order of finishing positions to encourage fierce competition. Trophies will be presented at the conclusion of all rounds in a separate ceremony. Self-scrutineering is required; bikes and safety gear must be inspected upon sign-on or risk disqualification. Riders should ensure their equipment meets standards for safety and performance. Join us this summer as we celebrate the spirit of motocross across Western Australia, from the rugged coastlines to inland tracks. Whether you're a seasoned racer or new to the sport, there's an event here waiting for you!
