Welcome to the Women's Empowerment Biking Workshop at Blankets Creek Trails, an exclusive gathering designed specifically for women who wish to enhance their mountain biking skills. This workshop is organized by Women on Wheels MTB of Georgia and serves as a fundraiser to support ongoing empowerment initiatives. Join us this Saturday, September 12, from 9 AM to Noon, to immerse yourself in the world of mountain biking with certified instructors dedicated to guiding you through essential techniques tailored for women. The event offers three distinct workshops: 1. Mastering Basic Skills Dive into fundamental skills such as wheel lifts and bunny hops under expert guidance. Practice these maneuvers safely within a controlled environment where immediate feedback is provided, helping you build confidence on the trails. 2. Roll-Downs & Drops Workshop Learn to navigate roll-downs and drops with ease using custom equipment designed for repetition and constructive critique before hitting the trail. This workshop requires at least one year of consistent riding experience or completion of a similar fundamental skills clinic. 3. Building Skills Progressively Suitable for both beginners and those looking to refine their abilities, this session covers foundational techniques through advanced cornering drills and front-wheel lifts. Participants must have completed a WOW Fundamental Skills Clinic (or an equivalent) before joining. All participants are required to bring a fully functional mountain bike in good condition along with essential gear such as a helmet, closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle. Controlled braking skills and the ability to maintain proper body position on your bike are crucial for safety during these sessions. Spaces are limited to 30 participants, so secure your spot early to ensure you can Level-Up your mountain biking prowess in a supportive and no-pressure environment. Please note that this event is open only to individuals who are 16 years of age or older. Cancellations must be made by September 5 for a full refund (minus a $25 administration fee). Between September 5 and the day before the event, you can receive a 50% refund if transferring your registration to another participant is preferred. In case of inclement weather, we will notify participants via email and social media. Weather-related cancellations mean your ticket will be transferred to our rescheduled date on September 26; no refunds are available for changes or cancellations due to weather conditions.
