Welcome to Women on Wheels Sonoma County 2026, an exciting cycling adventure designed for women of all ages and abilities. This year's ride offers three distinct routes: the scenic 56-mile route starting at 7:30 am, the more leisurely 34-mile journey beginning at 8:30 am, and a family-friendly option suitable for riders of all skill levels. The event is set in Sonoma County’s picturesque landscapes, offering cyclists breathtaking views of vineyards, rolling hills, and charming countryside. The terrain includes gentle climbs and descents, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience for participants. For those under 18 years old riding with an adult, there are no entry fees up to four per family. Children aged 3 to 7 must ride on tandem bikes or in trailers, while ages 8 to 13 can join the main group but should still be accompanied by a parent or guardian for safety. Safety is paramount, and we recommend starting early to enjoy the cooler morning temperatures. Participants are encouraged to arrive prepared with appropriate gear and hydration; rest stops will offer prepackaged gluten-free options, though cross-contamination cannot always be avoided due to shared surfaces. Food allergies? Don’t worry; gluten-free lunch options will also be available at designated points along the route. Ensure you have a valid email address on file for timely updates and important information via automated emails. Multiple registrations are allowed, but each rider must sign the liability waiver individually. For tandem riders, both the lead cyclist (captain) and the passenger (stoker) need to register separately. The free “Join Outside+” option allows you to manage your registration details post-purchase through BikeReg.com. If you can't make it, no worries—registration transfers are possible by logging into your BikeReg account and following the transfer instructions provided. Participants who cannot attend may pass their entry on to another person who has paid directly for it. While we aim to hold events rain or shine, SRCC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule in cases of extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that could compromise participant safety. In such situations, participants will be notified promptly and refunds or credits may be issued at SRCC’s discretion. Join us this year for a memorable cycling experience surrounded by nature's beauty. Your support helps sustain Women on Wheels Sonoma County as we continue to advocate for cyclists and organize top-notch events annually.
