The 8th edition of the WTR Serra do Mar stage is set to take place in Vale das Videiras near Petrópolis from November 21st through November 22nd, marking another milestone for this beloved trail running event. This year's lineup includes a variety of races: Trail Run Short, Mid, Long and Ultra distances; Mountain Bike Light and Pro categories; as well as duathlon options combining both disciplines in either the Short&Pro or Mid&Light formats. The WTR Serra do Mar is renowned for its scenic trails that wind through the lush greenery of the Serra do Mar mountain range. Runners can expect challenging terrain with rolling hills, technical single-track sections, and breathtaking views along their routes. The event also features a dedicated Kids Race designed to introduce young athletes aged 6-14 to the joys of trail running and cycling while fostering an early appreciation for outdoor sports. In addition to competitive racing opportunities, WTR Serra do Mar offers participants and spectators alike plenty of entertainment options at its central hub known as the WTR Arena. Here visitors can enjoy live performances, a bustling food park with local delicacies, a fully stocked WTR Store where they can purchase official event merchandise, and even free massage stations equipped for recovery treatments including cryotherapy sessions. A specially designated area is set aside for children to engage in fun activities under supervision. This year’s edition promises not only exhilarating competition but also an engaging atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of trail running and mountain biking communities around the world. It serves as a fitting conclusion to the WTR calendar, honoring top performers across various race categories while providing memorable experiences for all attendees.
