The Great Kent Trail Race invites runners of all abilities to explore the scenic landscapes and challenging terrain of Kent. Set against the backdrop of rolling hills, lush forests, and picturesque countryside, this race offers an unforgettable adventure for those who love nature and a good challenge.
Participants will gather at the starting line by 08:00 AM, with all competitors expected to complete the course within a window that ends at 6 PM. The route is designed to test endurance and navigation skills alike, winding through varied terrain that includes forest trails, open fields, and rugged paths.
Throughout the day, runners will encounter several checkpoints where hot and cold beverages as well as snacks are available to help refuel during their journey. A hearty meal awaits at the finish line for all those who cross it by 18:00. Each participant receives a certificate upon completion of the race, commemorating their achievement.
It's important that runners come prepared with appropriate gear and supplies. All entrants must carry their own mug or receptacle as none will be provided along the route; however, these items may be available for purchase at the start location if needed. Suitable footwear, clothing, a map (OS Explorers 137, 138 & 150 in 1:25,000 scale or OS Landranger 179 in 1:50,000), and essential navigation tools such as a compass are crucial for success.

For those traveling from afar, limited parking is provided at the start location but it's recommended that participants consider carpooling or taking public transportation as an alternative means of getting there. The nearest train station offers easy access and is just a short 300-yard walk to the starting line.
