WYRE FOREST FESTIVE TRAIL EVENT

Immerse yourself in the enchanting winter landscape of Wyre Forest for the Wyre Forest Festive Trail Runs on December 13th, 2026. This festive event offers runners and their canine companions an opportunity to explore one of England's largest ancient woodlands, known for its rich biodiversity and stunning natural beauty.
Located in Callow Hill near Bewdley, Worcestershire (DY14 9XQ), Wyre Forest is a haven for nature lovers with trails that wind through dense oak woodland. The event caters to all ages and abilities, providing an ideal setting for both family outings and competitive trail runners alike.
The Family 1 Mile Run welcomes children aged 3-14 accompanied by a free adult entry, offering a shorter yet engaging experience in the heart of the forest. For those seeking more distance, there are two longer options: a 5km Trail Run suitable for ages 11+ and a challenging 10km route open to runners aged 15+. Both these events welcome canicross participants who wish to bring their well-controlled dogs along.
Start times vary throughout the day, beginning with the Family 1 Mile at 10:30 AM. Canicross starts are scheduled for 11:00 AM followed by both the 5km and 10km events starting promptly after at 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM respectively.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants will be greeted with a range of rewards including event medals, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies, chocolates, drinks, and for those in the Family Mile category, a selection box to celebrate their achievement.
Parking is available on-site at subsidized rates, payable after the event using Forestry England machines.
