WYRE RUNNING: The Magnificent 7

The Fleetwood YMCA Sports Centre is set to host the annual 7 Mile Road Race on Sunday, September 7th, 2025. This scenic race begins at 11:00 am and offers runners a unique blend of coastal charm and challenging terrain.
Participants will start their journey from the bustling sports center in Fleetwood, Lancashire (FY7 6HF), with clear views stretching out over the Irish Sea and South Lakes. The meticulously measured course winds through picturesque landscapes, providing an exhilarating experience for all levels of runners.
The race route features a mix of flat stretches and gentle inclines that test endurance while allowing competitors to admire the stunning coastal vistas. As you make your way along this well-marked path, the energy from fellow racers will inspire you every step of the way.
Awards are generously provided for overall male and female winners as well as top three finishers in various age categories: M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70; F35, F40, F45, F50, F55, F60, and F65. Additional spot prizes and super goody bags are up for grabs to enhance the race day experience.
All participants who cross the finish line will receive a designer medal as a token of their achievement. The event venue also offers ample parking space, convenient restroom facilities, and on-site cafés where runners can refuel after the race.
