About the Event

Starting 7:30 AM on Sunday, November 8 at the Xinyu Sports Center, Jiangxi, this World Athletics Label, Chinese Athletics Association Class A event caps at 15,000 runners split between a marathon (42.195km, 3,000 spots) and half marathon (21.0975km, 12,000 spots), each offered as a solo or couples category. The marathon finishes at Fairy Lake's Qixi Square, the half marathon at Yuanhe Park. Pre-registration and payment run July 19 13:14 through August 31 12:00, with lottery results announced September 7 and full refunds for unsuccessful entrants by September 14.
Fairy Lake carries Xinyu's most romantic legend -- a thousand-year-old tale of a fairy descending to earth, seen as the origin of the region's Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day) traditions. The course threads the city's streets toward the lake, turning a road race into a gentle journey toward romance.

Xinyu is a city in Jiangxi Province.
