About the Event

The Quindalup Coastal Challenge is set to captivate runners on Saturday, November 14, 2026. This unique race commences at Dunsborough Beach and meanders towards the iconic Busselton Jetty, offering a scenic journey along Geographe Bay in Western Australia.
Race participants are anticipated to embrace the cool morning air as they prepare for this invigorating event. Spectators lining the sandy shores will cheer enthusiastically, creating an atmosphere that is both tranquil and energizing. The ocean breeze provides a refreshing backdrop throughout the 20km course, enhancing the overall experience.
Runners will encounter diverse terrain, including firm and soft surfaces, with sections requiring navigation through shallow waters or rocky areas. Alongside the main route are several beach parties designed for solo participants to rest or duo teams to swap roles during their journey.
The race begins at Dunsborough Beach at 8 AM, marking a steady elevation gain that leads towards Busselton Jetty. Natural breaks will be available along the course for those needing moments of respite. Weather conditions are forecasted to be mild with an average temperature around 18.7°C (65.7°F) and low humidity levels at just 63.2%. The wind is expected to remain gentle, averaging approximately 18.2 km/h (about 11 mph), while precipitation remains minimal.
Participants can register as solo runners for A$315 or join a duo team paying the same amount per member. Team registrations cost A$995 with both captain and member fees included. Early registration closes on October 28, 2026. Race numbers will be distributed at the Quindalup Community Center from 4 PM to 7 PM on November 13th; bring your photo ID for verification.
With a minimum age requirement of 16 years or older, this event is perfect for both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike. The Quindalup Coastal Challenge not only provides an exhilarating run through the breathtaking Geographe Bay but also contributes significantly to local scholarships, making it a must-attend for community members and sports enthusiasts.
This race promises to be an unforgettable experience, offering runners a blend of natural beauty, challenging terrain, and supportive camaraderie.
