Along the route, runners pass through the scenicTijuana River Valley, before reaching one of the most unforgettable moments of the race:crossing the international border on foot through the San Ysidro–El Chaparral port of entry.Running through thefar right lane of Interstate 5, participants experience something very few races in the world can offer—crossing from the United States into Mexico alongside thousands of runners.
