York 5K (JUL '26)

Even Splits York 5K races offer runners the chance to compete on a flat and speedy circuit within the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit, from February through November. This monthly series invites participants to push their limits and track progress throughout the year.
Race day features chip timing for accurate results, which are instantly sent via text message upon crossing the finish line. Detailed kilometre splits will be published online shortly after each race, allowing runners to analyze their performance meticulously. To add a touch of sweetness to your achievement, all participants receive a chocolate bar at the end.
Whether you're aiming for personal bests or competing against clubmates, Even Splits York 5K is designed to cater to various racing goals. The entry fee starts at £10/£12 per race, but saving money and time can be achieved by pre-purchasing multiple entries in advance.
First-time entrants receive a unique race number embedded with an electronic timing chip that can also be used for the Leeds 5K event. This number should be collected from registration on your first visit to either location. If you have previously obtained a RED 5K race number between 2020 and 2025, it remains valid in 2026 provided it is recorded during entry.
For those who need additional numbers due to loss or damage, one free replacement within a year's period is included with your registration. Any subsequent replacements will incur an extra charge of £4.
