The Yorkshire Weekend Saunter Series 2026 invites runners of all abilities to explore scenic routes along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. Whether you're an early morning jogger or someone looking for a leisurely walk through picturesque landscapes, this event offers flexibility with choices ranging from a relaxed 5K stroll to more challenging distances like the 10K run and half marathon.
Experience the charm of Yorkshire's countryside as you meander along the canal pathways that wind through Saltaire’s historic district. The atmosphere is welcoming for both seasoned runners and beginners alike, making it an ideal setting for those who want a leisurely pace or to push their limits on race day.
On-site registration allows participants to simply turn up at any point during the morning of the event – no need to pre-register if you prefer last-minute decisions. The half marathon starts early in the morning at 8:30am, followed by the 10K run kicking off just after sunrise at 9:00am and the 5K starting a bit later at 8:45am.
After crossing the finish line, runners are rewarded with a jumble medal to commemorate their achievement. The event also features hot food options and refreshments including your choice of beer or soft drinks, making it easy to relax and socialize after your run.
