YOU ARE NOT ALONE 5K WALK/ RUN

Join us on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at North Central Park for the second annual "You Are Not Alone" 988 5K Run and Walk. This family-friendly event aims to promote mental health awareness while offering a scenic route through one of our city's most beautiful parks.
The day kicks off at 7:30 AM with on-site registration, followed by the start of both the run and walk events at 8:00 AM sharp. Participants can enjoy free parking within North Central Park for easy access to the event site. The course itself features a mix of paved paths and soft trails that wind through lush greenery and picturesque landscapes.
For those with little ones in tow, children aged four and up are welcome on both the run and walk routes. However, it's important to note that kids under six must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event. Strollers are permitted but should start from the back of the pack for safety reasons. To ensure everyone’s well-being, pets aren’t allowed unless they’re certified service animals; please contact Dr. Julie Bazan in advance if you plan to bring a service animal.
The 5K course will be clearly marked with cones and signs on race day, making navigation straightforward even for first-time participants. Swift Timing is providing state-of-the-art timing services, ensuring that all runners receive accurate results without the hassle of manual chip collection or return procedures post-race.
Awards are given to top performers across various age groups and overall categories based on both gun time (for general rankings) and chip time (for individual group awards). The event offers recognition for athletes in 14 distinct age divisions, from youth participants up through senior competitors.
Registration fees are $25 per person until race day when a late fee of $35 applies. Shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at packet pickup the evening before the event or during race-day registration.
