Dornbirn welcomes mountain biking enthusiasts for the 27th edition of the MTB Race Zanzenberg and Marktplatz Dornbirn XCE Eliminator Austrian Championships, scheduled to take place on May 2nd, 2025. This event is a significant part of the broader "Dornbirner Radtage" festival, offering both competitive racing and recreational activities for all ages. The day begins with start number distribution from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM at Marktplatz Dornbirn in the heart of Dornbirn. This central location is easily accessible via public transportation or by following signs to Steinebach, as parking directly at the race area is restricted. Competitors can take advantage of track inspection sessions from 12:30 PM onwards, providing a crucial opportunity for riders to familiarize themselves with the challenging terrain before their respective starts. The racing kicks off early in the morning with categories such as U7 and U9, followed by more advanced classes like U13 through Elite. The championship features various age groups including Youth (U13 - U17) and Master/Amateur divisions, ensuring that riders of all skill levels can compete on a world-class course. Each category has its designated start times throughout the day to ensure smooth transitions between races. For those arriving by car, several paid parking options are available around Marktplatz Dornbirn. The race area itself is not accessible by private vehicles due to space limitations and safety regulations. Teams can set up tents in a designated team area with prior registration at trace.info@rv-dornbirn.at; however, camping directly at the venue is prohibited. Competitors aged U13 and above must present either an official license or ÖRV Bike Card upon registration for their respective categories to participate legally. This requirement underscores the professional nature of the event while ensuring fair competition among riders. The race course itself winds through scenic Zanzenberg, offering thrilling descents and technical climbs that challenge even seasoned athletes. The Eurocamp at Zanzenberg serves as a focal point during the races, with award ceremonies taking place there directly after each division concludes its final lap. Awards are based on UCI regulations for C1 category events, rewarding top male and female finishers in both youth and adult divisions. Detailed start lists and results will be available online through RV Dornbirn’s website or via the Race Result page of Zanzenbergrennen after each day's races conclude. With its blend of competitive racing and community spirit, this event promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike, celebrating cycling culture in one of Austria's most picturesque settings.
