16th Daejeon Seo-gu Mayors Cup Marathon

On November 15, 2026, runners of all levels will gather beneath Expo Bridge in Daejeon to participate in the 16th edition of the Seo-gu Mayor's Cup Marathon. This scenic race offers both a challenging 10km route and an accessible 5km course along the picturesque Gapcheon riverside.
The event begins with assembly at 8:00 AM, providing ample time for participants to warm up before their respective start times. The 10km runners are divided into two groups; Group A starts at 9:00 AM followed closely by Group B at 9:05 AM. Participants in the shorter distance race take off a bit later with the standard 5km event kicking off at 9:10 AM, and families can join in on the fun with the dedicated Family Run starting promptly at 9:15 AM.
Entry fees for the 10km course are KRW 40,000 while both the regular 5km race and the family-friendly run cost KRW 35,000. The first 3,000 applicants to secure their spots will be granted entry into this vibrant event.
All participants receive a range of amenities including an exclusive T-shirt, a personalized race bib equipped with a timing chip for accurate results, as well as a finisher's medal and snacks along the course. Additionally, each runner is given a unique Kimdalli character key ring to commemorate their participation in this memorable day.
Safety remains a top priority throughout the event; strollers are not permitted on the race route to ensure smooth passage for all runners and maintain everyone’s safety during the run.
