2026 Gimcheon National Marathon

The 2026 Gimcheon National Marathon invites runners of all levels to experience the vibrant atmosphere and scenic routes at Gimcheon Sports Town Main Stadium on November 1, 2026. The event offers three race distances: half marathon, 10km, and 5km, allowing participants to choose a distance that suits their fitness level and goals.
Registration for this highly anticipated event opens on July 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with spots limited to the first 5,500 entrants. Participants can expect well-organized race day operations starting at 8:30 a.m., with the races beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m.
The half marathon and 10km events feature chip timing for accurate results, along with strict time limits of three hours for the half marathon and two hours for the 10km. The shorter 5km race offers participants an hour to complete their run without chip timing but still provides ample opportunity for runners to enjoy the course at a comfortable pace.
Entry fees vary by distance: general participants pay 20,000 KRW for both the half marathon and 10km races, while Gimcheon residents can enter these longer events for just 40,000 KRW. For the shorter 5km race, entry costs are set at 20,000 KRW for general participants and a reduced rate of 10,000 KRW for local runners.
