2026 Yeongdong Fun & Run

On October 18, 2026, the Yeongdong Fun & Run invites runners of all ages to explore the vibrant landscapes and rich culture of Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. The theme for this year is "Coloring Yeongdong through running," celebrating the area's natural beauty, tourism highlights, cultural heritage, and local specialties.
The event takes place at the Rainbow Healing Tourist Site and the Sanik-ri area, offering runners a unique blend of scenic routes that highlight some of Yeongdong’s most beloved spots. Participants can choose between two distances: 5 km or 10 km. The shorter course loops around the Rainbow Healing Tourist Site through the Fruit Theme Park and includes a visit to the Children's Traffic Safety Experience Center, providing an engaging mix of natural beauty and educational fun.
For those seeking more distance under their feet, the extended 10 km route ventures beyond the Fruit Theme Park into the picturesque surroundings near Sanik Village Hall. Both courses are designed as free-form Fun & Run events without a strict starting formation, allowing runners to enjoy the experience at their own pace while taking in breathtaking views and local landmarks.
Registration for this event opens on August 28 and closes on September 21, with refunds accepted until September 22 if requested. The entry fee is KRW 10,000 per participant. All registered runners will receive an official functional polyester T-shirt as part of their registration package; however, designs are subject to change.
In addition to the running courses, participants can look forward to a variety of programs and activities that showcase Yeongdong’s unique character. These include performances by the Yeongdong Nangye Traditional Music Festival ensemble, opportunities for stretching and massage sessions, as well as tasting experiences featuring local fruits and wines, providing runners with an immersive cultural experience beyond just racing.
