24. Knesebecker Einhornlauf

The 24th annual Knesebecker Einhornlauf is set to take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM from the Knesebeck Primary School. This beloved event offers a scenic and challenging 10-kilometer course that winds through both paved and unpaved paths in Isenhagener Land.
Participants of all ages are welcome to join this exciting race without needing membership in any sports club, making it accessible for runners of every background. The route is clearly marked with signs and safety measures ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.
The starting line at Knesebeck Primary School on Kirchstraße 1 offers an easy entry point into the heart of Isenhagener Land’s vibrant community atmosphere. Runners will encounter diverse terrain, providing both flat stretches and more challenging sections that test endurance and agility alike.
Age categories range from U16 (born in 2011-2012) to Seniors over 75 years old. The race also features a Laufcup Gifhorn-Wolfsburg for additional competitive recognition among participants. Online pre-registration is open until August 13, 2026, and can be completed through the link provided on the event's registration page.
A nominal entry fee of €10 must be paid via bank transfer after completing online registration; banking details will be sent in a confirmation email upon sign-up. The top three overall male and female finishers receive commemorative prizes to celebrate their achievements.
Post-race festivities include an awards ceremony, locker rooms with showers for participants, and refreshments provided by the organizers. Race officials also offer DLV stamps at the competition office for those interested in track certification or other related activities.
Parking is available near Knesebeck Primary School as well as throughout the surrounding area to accommodate visitors comfortably. The race continues regardless of weather conditions, so runners should prepare accordingly with appropriate gear and attire.
