Åre Run Club x Copperhill Loop!

Welcome to the exhilarating Åre Run Club x Copperhill Loop, taking place on August 15th. This unique race invites runners of all levels to conquer Copperhill's challenging incline by choosing their own distance—5km, 10km, 15km, or 20km—and deciding how many laps they wish to complete before crossing the finish line.
The event celebrates inclusivity and enjoyment for everyone involved. Whether you're a beginner taking on your first race or an experienced runner looking for a new challenge, this loop offers something unforgettable. The course winds its way through Copperhill Mountain Lodge's entrance, down the steep hillside, and back up to the lodge again, providing scenic views at every turn.
The route is clearly marked with cones and flags, making navigation easy even as you focus on your pace. Participants can also preview or test their run using Strava for a familiar feel before race day.
Start and finish lines are conveniently located together outside Copperhill Mountain Lodge's entrance, ensuring runners have an easily accessible point to begin and conclude their journey. The loop itself is paved with asphalt along the walking path that runs down and up the hillside, offering varying terrain and elevation changes throughout each lap.
As you approach your final stretch or continue for additional laps, a well-marked turnaround area just before the finish line guides runners back into position to tackle more hills if desired. The loop's ascent reaches its peak at Björnens ski area where the uphill turn occurs, adding an extra challenge as you push toward completion.
