Arrochar 10k

Experience one of Scotland's most scenic 10k routes on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 10:30 AM. Organized by the Loch Long Jetty Association and sanctioned under UK Athletics rules, this event offers runners a blend of varied terrain and breathtaking views.
The race begins with a track run leading to a forest road that features the only significant hill on the course. Upon reaching the summit, you'll be rewarded with panoramic vistas over Loch Long before descending through Ardgarten via a winding forest path. Be prepared for a crucial moment as runners cross the A83 Trunk Road; safety is paramount here.
The second half of the race takes place along the pavement beside picturesque Loch Long, offering stunning views of Arrochar and Ben Lomond. This scenic backdrop makes every step feel like part of an outdoor adventure.
All participants will receive a finisher's medal, while prizes are awarded to top male and female runners as well as local competitors and veterans in various categories. The race is open to anyone aged 16 or older on the day of competition who meets Scottish Athletics eligibility requirements.
After crossing the finish line, join fellow racers for post-race festivities at Arrochar Village Hall where homemade cakes await alongside a prize-giving ceremony.
