Welcome to the ATW St Albans Half Marathon 2027, also affectionately known as the #icelollyrun. This beloved community event returns on June 13, 2027, promising an unforgettable day of racing and celebration for runners, walkers, families, and supporters alike. The race has a rich history spanning over four decades, making it one of St Albans' most anticipated events each year. The half marathon route winds through the picturesque countryside around the city, offering scenic views and challenging terrain that make every step worthwhile. Participants can expect enthusiastic support from locals along the way as they tackle this iconic course. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace or are walking with friends, the Walking Half Marathon is an excellent option. All walkers receive a finisher's medal and enjoy refreshments at the end of their journey. The 10K event offers runners another chance to experience race day excitement on traffic-free roads, starting alongside half marathoners for a thrilling atmosphere from start to finish. Families are also welcome with options like the Family Fun Run, which loops through Verulamium Park in a scenic and fun-filled environment. Participants of all ages can join this 1.5-mile run that celebrates community spirit and family participation. The event village opposite Westminster Lodge transforms into a vibrant festival space on race day, featuring activities such as a children's funfair, food stalls, live entertainment, charity booths, local exhibitors, and retailers. Skechers will also be present to showcase their latest running gear and offer expert advice from their team. In addition to the races themselves, participants can contribute to community impact by raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK through their entry fees or personal fundraising efforts. The event continues its tradition of supporting St Albans' Abbey View Running Track with a donation from each registration in 2027, ensuring that local athletes have access to quality training facilities. Join the ATW family and experience the joy of running alongside thousands of others while enjoying everything this special day has to offer. From scenic routes and spirited communities to lively festival atmospheres and rewarding challenges, the ATW St Albans Half Marathon 2027 promises an unforgettable event for all involved. Participants are encouraged to follow the official Facebook page for updates on race details, training tips, and race-day coverage leading up to June 13th. Race start times may be subject to change; final information will be confirmed closer to the event date. We look forward to seeing you at this year's #icelollyrun!
