Bluebell 10 mile TT #7

The Fenland Clarion CC is proud to present an exhilarating cycling time trial that takes place on select evenings throughout April, May, June, July, and August. This event invites members of the club, along with welcome guests who are encouraged to join as either first or second claimants after participating in two events.
Riders will depart from a starting point at the gateway atop Ufford Hill on the road linking Ufford-Marholm (Stamford). The course winds through picturesque countryside and quiet villages, offering cyclists an exclusive experience with minimal traffic interference. Each participant sets off one minute apart to ensure a smooth and fair competition.
The route begins with a left turn onto King Street towards Helpston before continuing along B1443 past the railway crossing into Bainton. Here riders enter a neutralized section of about 600 meters, marked by signs near the entrance and exit points where cyclists must adhere to a strict 20 mph speed limit for safety reasons.
After navigating through Bainton’s narrow streets, competitors return via Ufford Road towards Helpston before completing their second lap. The course finishes at the large gateway opposite Ufford Hill's final left-hand bend after covering a total distance of 10.4 miles.
Participants will sign on at Vergette's Field near the finish line and receive pre-race instructions, including safety checks for lights and helmets as required by Cycling Time Trials (CTT) regulations. Riders are reminded to follow traffic rules strictly throughout their journey due to potential hazards such as farm vehicles, horses, and other cyclists.
Upon crossing the finish line, competitors must call out their numbers clearly before continuing towards Ufford without stopping. Parking is available at Vergette's Field shortly after the finish point for those who wish to stay nearby or spectate.
