Cademuir Rollercoaster

Welcome to the exhilarating 13th edition of the Cademuir Rollercoaster, an iconic pair of hill races set against the stunning backdrop of Peebles in Scotland's Borders region. The event features two challenging courses: a shorter yet intense 3km race and a more extensive 6km route that will test even seasoned runners.
### Race Details
Registration: Online entry is highly recommended to secure your spot, although limited on-the-day entries are available for those who prefer last-minute sign-ups.
#### 3km Race
- Start Time: 10:00 AM
- Elevation Gain: A steep ascent of 105 meters.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Runners must be at least 10 years old by December 31, 2026 (born in or before 2015).
- Age Categories: Results will contribute to the SAL U12 and U14 Junior Hill Race leagues. Prizes are awarded for senior runners as well as age category winners.
- Collection Point: Peebles High School Sports Hall, where participants can collect their race numbers between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM.
#### 6km Race
- Start Time: 10:30 AM
- Elevation Gain: A formidable climb of 275 meters.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 14 years old by December 31, 2026 (born in or before 2012).
- Age Categories: Results are recorded for the SAL U20, U18 and U16 Junior Hill Race leagues. Prizes will be given to senior runners as well as age category winners.
- Collection Point: Peebles High School Sports Hall, where participants can collect their race numbers between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

Both races take place on the open grassy slopes of Cademuir Hill. The terrain is rugged yet picturesque, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and physical challenge. With its steep ascents and scenic views, this course provides an unforgettable running experience for competitors of all levels.
