Cheddleton 10k Pudding Run and 2 Mile Fun Run

The Cheddleton Pudding Run, set to take place on November 28th, 2026, offers runners of all levels the opportunity to participate in an engaging and festive race while supporting Cancer Research. Located at the heart of Cheddleton Community Centre (ST13 7HP), this unique event features a 10K run that winds through scenic, undulating terrain over three laps on a traffic-free course.
The main attraction is undoubtedly the 10K race, which begins promptly at 2:00 PM. Runners can expect an exhilarating and challenging experience as they navigate the picturesque routes around Cheddleton. The event promises excellent camaraderie with a fantastic atmosphere throughout the run, making it a memorable day for participants.
For those looking to enjoy a more relaxed race or bring their kids along, there's also a 2 Mile Fun Run starting at 1:40 PM. This shorter distance is perfect for families and newcomers alike who want to experience the event without committing to the longer course.
All finishers of both events will be rewarded with a traditional Christmas pudding as part of the post-race celebration. The race organizers have also prepared an extensive prize list, including awards for the top 12 male and female runners in the 10K category, along with special prizes recognizing veteran age categories.
The allure doesn't end there; participants chasing personal bests can aim to break existing records. A gold sovereign awaits any man who sets a new course record (current men’s record: 30:42), while women have an opportunity for £150 if they surpass the current women's record of 35:57.
Entry fees are set at £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unattached athletes in the 10K race, with a more affordable entry fee of £9 for the Fun Run. Entries close on November 25th, so early registration is recommended to secure your spot and support this worthy cause.
