Course pour la Planète de Marange-Silvange

On September 27, 2026, the Course for the Planet race will take place in Marange-Silvange, offering runners and walkers an opportunity to enjoy scenic routes while supporting environmental causes. The event is organized by the Association Commune d'Avenir with a commitment to sustainability.
The trail running course winds through lush forests and rolling vineyards over a 10-kilometer route, featuring a climb of 300 meters. Participants can register for this timed race at €12 per entry. For those preferring a leisurely walk, two non-timed courses are available: a 10-kilometer loop with the same elevation gain and priced at €6, as well as a shorter 5-kilometer route that ascends 200 meters for just €5.
To minimize carbon footprints, participants will receive eco-friendly gifts rather than traditional race t-shirts. The top three male and female finishers in the trail running event will be rewarded with baskets filled with local products such as wine, honey, or flowers from Marange-Silvange, promoting community support through regional producers.
The day is also packed with activities for all ages, including workshops hosted by environmental associations throughout the afternoon. A catering service on-site ensures that participants can enjoy a relaxing and convivial atmosphere after their runs or walks. To further promote eco-friendly practices, organizers encourage carpooling among attendees to reduce transportation-related emissions.
