Dark Dart Dash

Since its debut in December 2014, the Dark Dart Dash has become an eagerly anticipated return to the race calendar. This year’s edition promises another thrilling experience for runners and their furry companions alike. The event is now partnering with the Green Table Cafe, which will provide a warm welcome at registration as well as post-race refreshments including pizzas, hot drinks, and bar service.
Participants can choose between two distances: a 10K course that offers a scenic loop through the surrounding countryside or a more accessible 5K option. Both courses showcase the area’s natural beauty with winding paths and picturesque views. Additionally, there are special races for children aged 3 to 11, ensuring fun for all ages.
A new addition this year is canicross, allowing runners to participate alongside their dogs in specially designated starts that follow shortly after the main race begins. This unique feature adds an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie among participants who enjoy running with their pets.
Proceeds from the event will contribute towards funding a new children’s playground at Dartington Hall, making this not just a day for athletic achievement but also one with meaningful community impact.
