Dark & Dirty Night Race

Dark & Dirty Night Race invites trail runners to explore Batawa's scenic trails under the cover of night, offering routes at 7km, 14km, and 21km. The race kicks off after sunset, providing a unique challenge that tests your skills in low-light conditions.
The terrain is rugged with rocky paths, roots, stumps, and steep hills. Participants are required to bring headlamps or flashlights for safety reasons; waist-mounted lights are also acceptable. Headphones are strictly prohibited during the race to ensure awareness of surroundings.
Aid stations along the course offer water and Tailwind energy drink at various points. For longer distances (14km and 21km), there's a midway stop with additional refreshments like watermelon, chips, and freezies. As a cupless event, runners must bring their own reusable bottles to minimize waste.
Race kits can be picked up starting at 6:30pm on race night from the designated area near the start/finish line. Timing is done manually for all participants, with custom medals awarded to the first male and female finishers in both distance categories. There are also numerous raffle prizes donated by local businesses.
Registration changes can be made via email until June 21st; however, no refunds or deferrals will be offered after that date. Race day modifications cannot be accommodated due to logistical constraints.
A portable toilet is provided at the start/finish area for convenience. All runners who complete their chosen distance receive a finisher's medal as a token of accomplishment. Early registrants (before June 21st) also qualify for race t-shirts, adding an extra layer of memorabilia to cherish post-race.
