The seventh edition of the Familienbund-Kids-Run is set to take place on Saturday, September 19th at the Transdanubia Athletic and Sports Center in Linz. This family-friendly running event emphasizes fun over competition for young participants. Each child runner will receive a starter bag filled with surprises, along with a medal upon completion of their race. Additionally, there's an opportunity to win great prizes through a raffle drawing based on the registration numbers collected at the start line. Participants are divided into nine age categories and run different distances: - Juniors A (2016 birth year): 900 meters - Juniors B (2015 birth year): 900 meters - Juniors C (2014 birth year): 1,300 meters - Kids A (2020 birth year): 400 meters - Kids B (2019 birth year): 400 meters - Kids C (2018 birth year): 500 meters - Kids D (2017 birth year): 500 meters - Minis A (2022 birth year): 100 meters - Minis B (2021 birth year): 100 meters There's also a family relay race for four-person teams, consisting of at least one adult and up to two adults with two children born in or before 2014. Each team member runs 100-meter legs without timing pressure. Registration fees vary: - 9 € per child - 8 € per child for those holding a 4youCard or 4youCard.Junior - 7 € per child for members of the Familienbund The family relay is free to enter. On-site registration and late entries are possible, with an additional processing fee. Start number collection will be available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the festival tent. A complimentary program including a bouncy castle, face painting, airbrush tattoos by ColourDuo, and a raffle for prizes during the award ceremony is included in the event schedule. The day's activities run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, ensuring that families have plenty of time to enjoy all aspects of this engaging sports celebration.
