Festival of Lights 5K

Join us on December 5, 2026, for the sixth annual Festival of Lights 5K at Veterans Memorial Park in Niagara Falls. Runners will be greeted with festive holiday music and vibrant light displays throughout the park as they make their way through a scenic course that includes both asphalt paths and packed gravel trails winding through wooded areas.
The race starts and finishes at the large parking lot adjacent to the Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center, where participants can pick up their packets or register on-site from 2:30 pm until the start time of 4 pm. With a USATF certified course (NY18006JJ), runners will enjoy an official race experience complete with professional timing services.
All registrants who sign up by November 27th at 9 am are guaranteed to receive a cool Festival of Lights t-shirt in their requested size, while extra gifts await those who register later. The event promises a warm post-race atmosphere with pizza from Favorite's Pizza and hot chocolate from Tim Horton’s served right after the race.
Awards will be presented for first place overall male and female finishers as well as age group winners ranging from 14 years old and under to 80 years and older. The event not only celebrates running but also supports a worthy cause, with net proceeds going towards purchasing toys for students at Tuscarora Indian Elementary School.
