NYSUT RUNS WNY at Bella Rose Winery!

Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for the NYSUT Runs WNY at Bella Rose Winery in Lewiston, New York. This family-friendly 5K trail race promises an engaging experience with scenic views and a vibrant post-race celebration.
The event kicks off at 5 PM sharp from the picturesque grounds of Bella Rose Winery. Participants will navigate through the vineyards and winery trails, enjoying breathtaking vistas of the Lewiston escarpment along the way. The route is marked by one water station near the midpoint to ensure runners stay hydrated during their run.
Registration remains open until race day via online platforms or on-site at Bella Rose Winery from 4 PM onwards. Early registrants will receive a complimentary stemless wine glass and a pour of wine, while optional NYSUT race shirts can be purchased through Stuart Sports (store link to come soon).
Post-race festivities include live music with DJ Q spinning Halloween-themed tracks alongside hits from the '90s and 2000s. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes for a fun-filled evening of light snacks, food specials at the winery, and a grand Bella Rose Halloween Party starting at 7 PM.
Awards will be presented to top overall male and female runners, as well as custom age group certificates and finish line photos available after the race. Age groups are divided into: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and over 70.
Additionally, there's a special NYSUT Union Member Challenge. The school district with the most participants will receive recognition along with bragging rights for their team spirit. For those interested in virtual participation due to unforeseen circumstances such as foul weather or public safety concerns, details on alternative arrangements will be provided by race organizers if necessary.
