Flyin' Nutz 2026

Flyin’ Nutz Trail Run invites runners to experience one of the region’s most scenic and challenging trail networks. Set for November 8, 2026, this race offers both speed and technical prowess as participants navigate through a hidden gem of singletrack trails.
The course features predominantly fast-flowing terrain with sections that challenge even the most seasoned runners. Approximately 95% of the route is composed of smooth singletrack paths, interspersed with short but intense stretches of more technical terrain to keep competitors engaged and on their toes. The remaining 5% consists of ATV and logging roads.
A unique highlight of the race includes a picturesque 1km loop around Sandy Lake at the farthest point from the start/finish line. This segment provides runners with stunning views and a chance to catch glimpses of local wildlife, including the notoriously feisty village squirrels known for their animated behavior in these woods.
Competitors aiming to break course records will have an additional incentive: $250 is up for grabs for both male and female athletes who can surpass the current benchmarks. The women’s record stands at 1 hour and 2 minutes, set by Colleen Wilson in 2024, while Joe Stewart holds the men's title with a time of 55 minutes and 40 seconds.
With its blend of speed and technical elements, Flyin’ Nutz Trail Run promises an unforgettable experience for trail runners seeking both challenge and scenic beauty.
