Foulées de Menfouest

The "Foulées de Menfouest," organized by the local association of Quimper's northern district near Plogonnec and Pont Quéau, returns on September 6, 2026. This charming community race is part of a series of events that bring life to neighborhoods across Brittany year after year.
Set in one of Quimper’s lesser-known districts, Menfouest offers runners the chance to explore an area away from the bustling city center while enjoying its peaceful ambiance and picturesque chapelle. The event promises not only athletic competition but also opportunities for social interaction among participants and locals alike.
The day kicks off at 9:00 AM with a fun run for children covering 60 meters, followed by the main race starting at 10:00 AM—a 10.4-kilometer course designed for cadets, seniors, and masters runners. For those looking to challenge themselves further or simply experience Menfouest’s unique charm on a shorter distance, this year introduces a new 5.2-kilometer option open to all from the Minimes category up.
In previous years, Philippe Daniel set an impressive time of 33:04 in 1996 and Annie Coathalem achieved 38:40 in 1994, records that still stand today. Competitors who break these marks will earn a special prize, inviting runners to inscribe their names into the race’s history.
Race bibs can be collected on event day between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM at registration booths where participants must present valid identification. Runners are required to provide either a medical certificate issued within one year or an FFA license for entry.
