Foulées Saugettes 2026

The La Chaux Kids' Fun Run is an annual celebration of youth and community, welcoming children from all backgrounds to participate in a day filled with joy and camaraderie. This non-competitive event aims to introduce young athletes to the world of running while emphasizing safety above all else.
Parents must authorize their children's participation and are advised that La Chaux Animation cannot be held responsible for any accidents during the race. The course is clearly marked, and an adult "pacer" will lead each group of runners, ensuring a secure environment for everyone involved.
This year marks the third installment of the event’s special addition: the Draisiennes Race (scooter race) for children born in 2023-2024-2025. The start time is set at 12:50 PM, with helmets being mandatory for all participants.
The youngest runners will take off first around 1:00 PM, and it's important that parents ensure their little ones are present in the designated area ten minutes before each race begins. Registration fees of €3 apply (except for the Chenilles category which is free), payable on-site from 12:30 PM at the La Chaux town hall.
A special line will be set up exclusively for those who have pre-registered through Klikego’s online portal, making check-in quick and easy. Every child receives a reward regardless of their race performance, fostering an atmosphere where everyone is celebrated equally.
The event culminates in afternoon award ceremonies under the grand tent where the top three finishers from each category will be honored on stage during the prize-giving ceremony.
Categories are organized by age group and gender as follows:
- Chenilles (Crawlers): For children born in 2024-2025, with a distance of 30 meters for both girls and boys. The start times will be at approximately 1:25 PM and 1:35 PM respectively.
- Papillons (Butterflies): For those born between 2022-2023, the race is a bit longer at 50 meters for both girls and boys. The start times are scheduled around 1:45 PM and 1:55 PM respectively.
- Petites Canetons (Little Ducklings): For participants born in 2020-2021, the race stretches to 160 meters with a split for girls starting at approximately 2:05 PM followed by boys shortly after at around 2:15 PM.
- Canetons (Ducklings): Born between 2018 and 2019, this group runs 240 meters. The race begins with the girls category at about 2:25 PM and follows up with boys a few minutes later around 2:35 PM.
- Poussins (Sprouts): For those born in 2016-2017, this event covers an impressive distance of 440 meters for both girls and boys. The start times are set at approximately 2:45 PM and 2:55 PM respectively.
- Benjamines/Benjamins (Youngest): For children born in 2014-2015, the race is extended to a more challenging 700 meters. The start time for both categories will be around 3:05 PM.
- Minimes (Cadets/Cadettes): Born between 2012 and 2013, this category runs an even longer distance of 1200 meters with the girls starting at approximately 3:15 PM followed by boys a bit later around 3:30 PM.
